Long Beach Attractions
Long Beach's main attractions include the famous ocean liner the Queen Mary, the state of the art Aquarium of the Pacific, and the harbor shopping area of Shoreline Village. Rainbow Harbor surrounds Shoreline Village and contains California's official tallship, the Californian. It is a detailed replica of a 1842 Revenue Cutter. Other tallships in Rainbow Harbor are the Pilgrim of Newport and the American Pride. Other attractions include the Gondola Getaway for a romantic tour of the canals of Naples Island and of course the major theme parks of Disneyland, Knott's Berry Farm, Magic Mountain, and Universal Studios.

The Aquarium of the Pacific is one of the largest aquariums in the United States! Its 550 species fill 17 major habitats, 31 focus exhibits and takes visitors on a journey throughout the Pacific Ocean's three regions: Southern California/Baja; the Tropical Pacific and the Northern Pacific. Visitors to the Aquarium can also take advantage of the surrounding Long Beach area. Located only minutes from trendy Pine Avenue in Downtown Long Beach, the Long Beach Convention Center, the Queen Mary, Belmont Shore (Long Beach's charming Beach community), and hotels, tourists will find the Aquarium convenient to anywhere in Long Beach they wish to visit.

The Disneyland Resort features two exciting theme parks. At Disneyland Park you can experience the original park which has been updated and renovated. Located on the California State Long Beach Campus, the Earl Burns Miller Japanese Gardens offer stunning garden architecture.Tours for groups of 10 or more may be arranged by calling the garden office at 562.985.8885. Reservations for all tours are required at least two weeks in advance. The suggested donation is $2 for adults. There is no charge for school groups. Individuals may purchase the full color self-guided tour brochure, "A Walk in the Garden," for $1 at the garden cart.

The Long Beach Museum of Art is located on a magnificent bluff site overlooking Long Beach Harbor and the Pacific Ocean. The campus includes the historic Elizabeth Milbank Anderson house and carriage house (built in 1912), oceanfront gardens, and a new pavilion with two floors of expansive gallery space for changing exhibitions. The historic buildings are home to administrative offices, the Museum Store and Café. In addition to changing exhibitions, the Museum offers extensive educational programs for children and adults, musical programs, festivals, and other special events.
